An example of another excellent characteristic of Thommen design which stands out can be mentioned in passing: its outstanding design. The MONO torque ratchet – as well as the APLIQUIQ® container – for chairside-conditioning – which were both awarded the reddot design award for the best product design out of several thousand competitors from 60 countries.

Conventional ratchets consist of several parts, have recesses and are thus generally hard to clean. The MONO torque ratchet from Thommen Medical is manufactured from a solid billet of high-strength titanium alloy. The torque ratchet can be used as a simple insertion/removal device, with control of the torque from 10 to 35 ncm possible. In combination with the MONO insertion device short, the MONO torque ratchet can also be used for competitor implant systems.

The surgical cassette must be loaded with the instruments only once ̶ for mechanical cleaning ̶ after which it undergoes the remaining “touchless” sterilization cycle. This avoids any further laborious and often error-prone reloading of the instruments during reprocessing.
Resusable prosthetic components can now also be mechanically cleaned in the surgical cassette. The surgical cassette can be sterilized in the appropriate sterilization container and then stored until your next operation. The markings on the removable graphic insert help to guide you through all the preparatory steps by their colour-coding, and the pictograms facilitate the correct sorting of the instruments.

VECTOdrill ™

Safety, control and smooth operation thanks to the multi-lip drill geometry and the positioning of the guide tip in the drill hole of the previous drilled site during sequential processing.

A surgical procedure for all implant lines
The drill protocol for all implant lines of the Thommen Medical Implant system is based on the same few basic steps and can thus be carried out with the same reduced range of instruments.
Special drills (for example, for the center marking of the crestal bone) are not necessary.
